Garage Door
A few changes since the last entry - the most significant is that our new garage door has been installed. The house has had it's floor swept, and the correct door locks have now been installed.
This means we are getting close to completion!
After a forced change of plans today, we decided to go back to where it started - the Cremorne Display home in Caroline Springs. It's amazing to see a completed house (with carpets and window coverings) after seeing our own empty place for so long. We took a few photos of the display home, and some have been included here, just for interest!

Nice garage door ;-) You'd think it would have been easier to paint the roof before putting it on though?
Caroline Springs Display is the only Cremorne I haven't been too. I think the bath there looks even smaller with the dark coloured tiles around it. Love the decking pattern (I love wood).
Much left to do on yours? You two must be counting down to the 18th!

Hi Perry, looking good mate.
Not long now,
Your fireplace is the same as ours, its great using it on those cold nights. And the position in the living room is the best.
With the tri locks. Ensure a deeper hole is made into the door jam, for the deadbolt to go right into. Check it. We had ours made deeper.
our driveway & path to the portico, should commence this week. Im decking the front, like at the cremorne display in derrimut. And later the decking at the back. Have you done decking before, perry?

I was at the Caroline Springs display the other day too!! :) I quite like how they have done it all there.
That is where I got my idea about the painted stair rail as they have this with the silver balustrades we are getting.
I think they needed to put one extra stair light on the first few steps of the beginning of the stairs.
Fireplace is gorgeous :)

Ok, try again!
HTB - The garage door has been at the suppliers for some time, and I think the SS may have been under pressure to get it out. He told me that the painters were due back, but I guess he couldn't wait. Looking at the bath in the display, I'm glad we upgraded to a bigger tub!
Andy - Thanks for the tip. The person installing our trilock has done quite a few of them, but it won't hurt to check! I'm wondering if we will get to use our fireplace s=this winter. Things seem to have slowed right down.
Decking is pretty straight forward - I've done it before. you doing it yourself?
